Saucey Appetizers
Saucey Bruschetta:
You'll need:
pizza crust
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1 bag of shredded cheese (Mexican style)
Sweet & Sassy Salsa, 1 jar
All you do is:
Spread the salsa evenly on the crust. Sprinkle
the garlic over the salsa. Sprinkle the cheese
generously over the salsa/garlic and bake 350
for about 10 minutes, until cheese melts.
Slice in wedges and serve immediately.
Saucey Tacos:
You'll need:
1/2 lb ground beef or veggie ground beef
1 jar of "Sweet & Sassy Salsa" or
1 jar of "Hola Hot Salsa" (for a hotter taco)
taco shells
2 fresh tomatoes, diced
1 c of shredded head lettuce
1 bag of shredded cheese (Mexican style)
All you do is:
Fry up your beef or veggie ground beef. Once cooked,
add the jar of salsa and cook a few minutes longer until
blended. Warm up your tacos in the oven. Fill taco shells
with beef/veggie beef mixture and top with tomatoes, lettuce
and cheese. Enjoy amigos & amigas!
Saucey Sea Scallops:
You'll need:
6 large scallops
3/4 c Saucey Sap
All you do is:
Marinade scallops in Saucey Sap for 10 minutes. BBQ or Broil for 3 minutes on each side.
Saucey Balls of Spice:
You'll need:
1 lb ground beef
1 c of Saucey Sap or Saucey Greek Goddess Vinaigrettes
1/4 c bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
All you do is:
Mix all ingredients together except Sap or Greek dressing. Form into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350
until firm, approx. 15 minutes. Remove from oven and with a basting brush evenly distribute the Sap or Greek dressing
generously. Return to oven for 5 more minutes and voilà. NOTE: Use the Sap for a sweet & tangy treat or the Greek for an
exotic festival of flavours!
Saucey Sirloin Sizzler's:
You'll need:
2 lbs. Sirloin steak, cubed
1 lb bacon
1 c Sweet & Saucey Garlic Vinaigrette
toothpicks
All you do is:
In a large dish or sealed container, toss meat with Garlic Vinaigrette. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Wrap beef with bacon
and secure with toothpick. Broil until you reach your desired taste...ie. rare, medium rare, well done, etc.
Mini Saucey Chicks:
You'll need:
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1 c Saucey Greek GoddessVinaigrette
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 Spanish onion
All you do is:
Mix the Greek Vinaigrette with the cubed chicken and refrigerate for at least two hours. Soak wooden skewers in water and
snap in half. Alternate pieces of chicken with peppers and onion. For added flavour, you could marinate the veggies ahead
of time. Broil for 15-20 minutes, turning regularly.
